The choice on what to actually do, is yours to make. Some people actually wash the ink out of the old pads, by holding them under running cold water, then dry them out and simply reinstall them back into their printer.

If you just reset the counter and don't replace the pads, then your printers old pads will eventually overflow and normally start leaking ink out the bottom of your printer. The maintenance request error is actually a Waste Ink Ink Pad Error and normally your remedy is to replace the Waste Ink Pad/Pads with a new one/ones and then reset the Internal Waste Ink Pad Counter. Teres: A Service Error where all LED's/Lights are blinking at the same time, is normally a Maintenance Request Error. I am so glad I can keep this Epson 740 going. I just want to add: the small business that services printers in my town says that the old printers are so much better than the new ones. PS: This is December 2010.so I don't know if the person who posted the solution will get this. How often we act and don't know the consequences- and so often they are good! I'm giving you the details because we all have our personal stories and behind every computer/printer glitch is something/someone who is personally affected. I was trying to send a few photos off with Christmas cards to the old aunts: 4 of them over 95 they have no access to computers, and are more and more isolated because the "younger ones" don't use snail-mail any more. I can't believe it.I tried so many suggestions on the net.even downloaded SSC Service Utility v4.30, which, apparently, doesn't work with Vista.

OMG!! It worked! Thank you, thank you, thank you, rmm149. Re: Re: Epson stylus 740 all lights blinking by Anonymous ( 9:46 PM) reply You will be notified at if anyone replies. The following message will be posted to the Main Forum.
